Family Piano Co. warrants that if any refurbished piano it sold is found, upon authorized inspection, to have a defect in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, Family Piano Co. will supply necessary parts and labor at no charge to the customer for a period of 3 years, within a reasonable time of being alerted of the problem. Installations of any add-on player system, digital enhancement system, humidity control system or similar products does not void this piano warranty if installed by a party authorized by Family Piano Co.
Any above or other add-on products are warrantied by the manufacturer only. Family Piano only warranties our labor if labor performed by Family Piano Co employees.
Please be prepared to provide a detailed explanation of the problem or issue in question to obtain warranty service.
This warranty service is available to the original owner only. This warranty does not apply to normal maintenance such as tuning, voicing, regulation, and the repair of normal wear, string replacement and electronic devices. Furthermore, this warranty does not apply to damage caused by abnormal strain, misuse, abuse, neglect, negligence, exposure to environmental conditions, such as extremes in light, temperature or humidity, an act of God, improper service or modifications. The warranty is void if the serial number has been modified, defaced, or destroyed. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. This warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners. Under no circumstances will Family Piano Co. be liable for any loss or damage, direct, consequential, accidental or incidental arising from the use of, or inability to use this piano unless deemed otherwise by state law. The manufacturer’s warranty, if still in effect, supersedes this warranty, but Family Piano would work with the manufacturer towards the customer’s satisfaction. If manufacturer’s warranty could be in effect, we reserve the right to investigate if the manufacturer will cover any parts or labor before beginning any work on the piano.
Sometimes, generally on newer pianos, a longer warranty period applies, but only if expressly stated in the sales agreement. In that case, substitute the longer term for “3 years” above. All else remains the same.
