Alice and Mark are very proud to announce our first two Carl Sauter Pianos have reached Waukegan and our showroom floor! For the first time ever, you can come and hear for yourself the state of the art of piano building, and no single company has been doing it longer or better than Carl Sauter Pianos.
These are truly historic times for Lake County! With the addition of this premier instrument, our commitment to absolute quality has been met. Sauter has long been regarded as one of the top pianos in Europe and Asia for many years, but since they make so few instruments, the American market place has not been developed. Sauter now has a National Sales Director for Sauter usa, Mag. Basilios A. Strmec. Basilios and Mr. Ulrich Sauter, the president of Carl Sauter Pianos, have chosen Family Piano Co. to represent this prestigious piano in the mid-west and surrounding areas. With this honor comes the responsibility of serving the name of Sauter with the best technical knowledge and abilities we collectively have with our combined experience of nearly 40 years of working with pianos.
Why are Sauter Pianos different? There are many reasons, but the most important is piano building experience. Founded in 1819, this small yet powerful family willed the piano into existence. Back in the turn of the 1800's, there were no other piano factories to copy from, or outright steal copy written ideas. The original Sauter pianos were all made by hand from the villagers who inhabited the area near the Black Forest in Germany. Supplies of high quality wood was abundant, and so were the harsh winter nights. These evenings were spent hand making the action parts by candlelight.
In more modern times, Sauter Pianos are extremely rare. In fact, only 120 grand pianos are manufactured for the entire world a year! Compare that to over 7,000 Steinway pianos. Dollar for dollar, the Sauter Piano stands alone for its sound, innovation, and design qualities. This instrument is amazing!
So, get in your car right now and come to Waukegan to play our 6'1 Delta Grand! Isn't it about time you treated yourself to a road trip to hear a part of history? By the way, Ludwig Von Beethoven liked them too. He bought two of them in 1835.
Family Piano Co. will host a Sauter Piano Gala this year, featuring the impeccable 9' concert grand, and other fine models of Sauter Pianos. Interested in joining us? Feel free to contact Mark or Alice at Family Piano Co.
